چکیده

Methods Patients undergoing clinically indicated coronary angiography underwent BOLD CMR scans using a clinical 1.5T scanner. Three short axis BOLD cine images were captured at baseline and during adenosine-induced coronary hyperemia. The mean segmental percent signal intensity (SI) changes were calculated between baseline and hyperemia in the subendocardial myocardium using the 16-segment model. Segments were defined as ischemic or non-ischemic by FFR (cut-off <0.80). The segment with the lowest BOLD SI percent change per patient was used for analysis.

Relationship between regional myocardial oxygenation and perfusion in patients with coronary artery disease: insights from cardiovascular magnetic resonance and positron emission tomography.

BACKGROUND It is recognized that the interplay between myocardial ischemia, perfusion, and oxygenation in the setting of coronary artery disease (CAD) is complex and that myocardial oxygenation and perfusion may become dissociated. Blood oxygen level-dependent (BOLD) cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) has the potential to noninvasively measure myocardial oxygenation, whereas positron emiss...

BOLD cardiovascular magnetic resonance at 3.0 tesla in myocardial ischemia

BACKGROUND The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of blood oxygen level dependent (BOLD) cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) to detect stress-inducible myocardial ischemic reactions in the presence of angiographically significant coronary artery disease (CAD). METHODS Forty-six patients (34 men; age 65 ± 9 years,) with suspected or known coronary artery disease underwent C...

T2-prepared steady-state free-precession for detection of hemodynamic significance of coronary artery stenosis - a comparison to fractional flow reserve

Background BOLD CMR has been shown to be able to detect myocardial perfusion differences. However, validation of BOLD CMR against FFR is lacking. Aim of our study was to analyze the potential diagnostic accuracy of blood oxygen level-dependent (BOLD) cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) in comparison to invasively measured fractional flow reserve (FFR) which served as gold standard for a he...

Detecting myocardial ischemia at rest with cardiac phase-resolved blood oxygen level-dependent cardiovascular magnetic resonance.

BACKGROUND Fast noninvasive identification of ischemic territories at rest (before tissue-specific changes) and assessment of functional status can be valuable in the management of severe coronary artery disease. This study investigated the use of cardiac phase-resolved blood oxygen level-dependent (CP-BOLD) cardiovascular magnetic resonance in detecting myocardial ischemia at rest secondary to...

Myocardial perfusion and oxygenation are impaired during stress in severe aortic stenosis and correlate with impaired energetics and subclinical left ventricular dysfunction

BACKGROUND Left ventricular (LV) hypertrophy in aortic stenosis (AS) is characterized by reduced myocardial perfusion reserve due to coronary microvascular dysfunction. However, whether this hypoperfusion leads to tissue deoxygenation is unknown. We aimed to assess myocardial oxygenation in severe AS without obstructive coronary artery disease, and to investigate its association with myocardial...
